DIRECTIONS TO THE CULLOM-DAVIS LIBRARY AT BRADLEY UNIVERSITY |
|||
| The phone number for your destination (the Library's Special Collections Center) is
(309) 677-2822. Their normal hours are 9:00 AM to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We strongly
suggest you call in advance of your trip to ensure they'll be available for when you plan to come. Bradley University is easily accessible off I-74 in Peoria. Do not take I-474 around the city. Take University Street south from I-74 (Exit 91 or 91A, depending upon your direction of travel on I-74). South on University and around the curve to St. James, the third traffic light after the light for the exit ramp. Turn right off University onto St. James and enter Bradley's campus. Go west on St. James only one and one-half short blocks and you will see the "Visitor Parking Lot" on your left. Campus parking restrictions no longer allow visitors to park in other lots or on the streets. Park in this visitor lot. You will need a quarter ($.25) for the exit gate when you later leave this parking lot. Immediately after parking, walk west along St. James and straight across the intersection. You'll notice that St. James ends in a circle (known as Founder's Circle) about one block west of this intersection. The library is the new-looking building behind a large silver skeletal artwork about one block south of the circle at the west end of St. James. Enter through the library glass doors and security screening devices. Immediately turn right to catch the elevator to the third floor. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and turn left when exiting. Walk through the hallway door to the first door on your right. Ring the "doorbell" to be buzzed into the Virginius Chase Special Collections Center. Your hosts will be the Special Collections Librarian, Mr. Charles Frey, and Karen or Sherri from the staff. Upon leaving Bradley and heading back to the Interstate, simply reverse your path for the above directions. Let us know if you enjoyed your visit and come back again soon. |
