THE APCO COLLECTION IN THE BRADLEY UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

(The Cullom-Davis Library)

Borrowing and Using Materials from the APCO Historical Collection

The Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center, of Bradley's Cullom-Davis Library, and the Illinois Chapter APCO encourage use of the APCO Historical Collection by any interested persons. The library cannot accept orders for copies over the telephone. For other purposes, the telephone number for the Special Collections Center is (309) 677-2822, while the main library phone number is (309) 677-3502. The address is: Special Collections Center, Cullom-Davis Library, Bradley University, 1511 West Bradley Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61625.

Special conditions for use of historical items have been established for the purpose of protecting the collection. Those conditions are:

 1) Bound volumes (including hard-bound collections of magazines; but not including individual magazines, loose-leaf folders, etc.) from this collection shall be made available for use within the public reading rooms of the Cullom-Davis Library during normal library hours when the Special Collections Center is otherwise closed. Contact the Special Collections Center staff in advance to arrange for this service. Typically, the library is open until midnight during school terms; however, the Special Collections Center is open on weekdays from 9 AM to noon and 1 to 4:30 PM Central Time.

 2) Bound volumes (not including individual magazines, loose-leaf folders, etc.) from this collection will be made available for inter-library loan through participating libraries within the State of Illinois, and to other APCO Chapters via similar, library-based, APCO Historical Collections. Said inter-library loan, not exceeding three weeks, shall be made with the express stipulation that the loaned material be treated as "reserved reference material - not for check-out" with the participating library.

 3) Non-bound items (individual magazines, loose sheets, pictures, etc.) are available for public viewing and for photocopying by staff of the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center; but shall not be removed from the Special Collections Center except by written authorization from the Executive Board of Illinois APCO.

If the above conditions do not fit your borrowing needs, please submit an e-mail message stating those needs to the
Illinois Chapter Historian, David Swan. Special requests are welcome and will be given full consideration by the Illinois APCO Chapter's Executive Board. You will be advised as to the results of their decision.
